SRVUSD Weekly Update #9 Posted 7/31/20

    Gator Families,

Summer is slowly winding down and we are getting excited for our 2020-2021 school year to begin.  As you are aware, the school year will begin remotely, all school activities will be held virtually. The school year will now start on August 13, both August 13 & August 14 will be minimum days. This added time will allow teachers to receive professional development for the upcoming school year. I know there are many questions and concerns about reopening the school year. Again, I want to reassure you, that I am here and working hard to make sure that we do what is best for kids! We still have a lot of details to figure out, so thank you for your patience. Please see the information below about some important school information.

School Supplies: Suggested school supply lists are on the PTA website ( School Supplies.) These are supplies that our teachers feel would be beneficial for your students to have during remote learning.

    Mark Your Calendar:

    • Monday, August 3 - Registration Opens
    • Wednesday, August 12 - Teacher Assignments released on Infinite campus.
    • Thursday, August 13- First Day of School (Minimum Day)
    • Friday, August 14 (Minimum Days)

Registration: Our 2020-2021 registration will be open on Monday, August 3. Please log on and support our school. Even though we are starting school remotely, we still need all the support from our amazing families.

Always feel free to contact me and we can discuss your thoughts, concerns, or questions.

    About Our School
    Golden View

A california distinguished schoolGolden View Elementary School was built in 1989 and is located in the Canyon Lakes area, east of Interstate 680. Currently, there are twenty-eight TK through 5th grade classes for more than 680 students.

Golden View is committed to providing a 21st Century education. Thanks to our supportive parent community, our classrooms are equipped with digital teaching stations. Along with our 33 seat PC lab, our students benefit from 1:1 Chromebooks in all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms and multiple roaming carts of iPads and Mac laptops for our lower grades. Golden View students will be learning in a technology-rich environment that allows them to explore the education of the future, including a range of technology devices for students provided by our Gator Fund.
