YARD DUTY HELP
Yard Duty Helpers arrive at 11:55 a.m. and stay until 1:00 p.m. You monitor the students in the lunchroom and assist with opening their food items, granting permission for water and bathroom breaks, and also helping on the playground during lunch recess.
All noon duty volunteers must be a cleared volunteer on Be A Mentor. Thank you for helping!

2016 Run For Education

Every year the Run for Education is the biggest fundraiser event of the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation. SRVEF is the primary fundraising organization that in partnership with the San Ramon Valley Unified School District provides financial support and promotes public education in our community.
Get your running/walking shoes ready and help raise money for our school. Register as a runner for 10K, 5K, 5K Fun Run/Walk, Mini Run, as a virtual runner or as a volunteer. There will be school mascots, music, prizes, fun games, food trucks, sponsor booths at the Health and Wellness Expo ... and more.

ONLINE AUCTION FOR EDUCATION: October 4th through October 14th
The annual Sam Ramon Rotary Online Auction for Education is the largest funder of the Foundation's educator grants. Last year's auction raised over $80,000 toward grants that funded innovative programs and technology for SRVUSD students.
The auction opens on October 4th at 10:00 AM and closes on October 14th at 10:00 PM

Holders of Target credit cards can designate that 1% of all purchases goes to Golden View. All you need to do is go to Target.com/Redcard and look for the “Take Charge of Education” link. You can select Golden View either by entering the name and city, or use the ID# 35634
Volunteer Management System (VMS) (Be A Mentor)
Adults who wish to volunteer on a school campus, drive and/or
chaperone on a field trip need to apply through the Volunteer Management System (VMS)
There are three levels of clearance:
• Level 1 – Classroom, on-campus school volunteers, and non-driver chaperones for field trips. Applicants will be approved through the Sex Offender Registry. Clearance takes 48 hours.
• Level 2 – Field Trip Drivers. The District will obtain a driving history for the last ten years from the DMV and will be notified any time there is a reportable violation or incident. Volunteers with 2 or more points will not be approved. Clearance takes up to 10 days.
• Level 3 – Overnight Chaperones. Volunteers’ fingerprints will be processed through the FBI and the Department of Justice. Clearance can take 45 days. (There will be no overnight activities at Golden View)
